Maryland Municipal Attorneys Association

The Maryland Municipal Attorneys Association (MML) is the only statewide group dedicated to attorneys serving municipalities in Maryland, from all regions and of all sizes.  As such, it is also affiliated with the Maryland Municipal League as a department.  MMAA has members serving municipalities throughout Maryland as well as those with populations of 75,000-plus, including Rockville, Gaithersburg and Frederick, and finally Baltimore, with over 500,000 in population.  Members include designated attorneys as well as those assisting, either as full-time staff or a firm associate.  Members need only pay the annual dues ($50 as of July 1, 2024) and then can attend all in-person or virtual meetings, with lunch being served at in-person meetings.

The MMAA meets at noon for quarterly meetings each year:  virtually for the Winter meeting in February, near Annapolis for the Spring lunch meeting, at the MML Convention in Ocean City for the Summer meeting, and typically in Annapolis for our fall meeting, which is traditionally a joint meeting including County Attorneys.

There is a group email listing for use as a listserv for questions, information and general updates, as well as a quarterly newsletter highlighting updates from the meetings and key legal topics.

Members pay $50.00 annual dues which covers the costs for any lunches at meetings as well as newsletters.
